2022 Spring Fitness Challenge

Walk. Run. Bike. Row.

We've turned our popular Virtual Stonewall Regatta, held in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, into an annual ritual to welcome spring.

Grab some friends and join us March 12-19 as we take advantage of spring weather to compete in the DC Strokes Spring Fitness Challenge!

How It Works

Individuals and Teams (pairs, fours, and eights) will row, run, or bike as much as they can starting on Saturday, March 12, through Saturday, March 19, 2022. Points will be awarded as follows:

  • Erging: 1 point per 2000 meters

  • Running/Walking: 1 point per 1600 meters

  • Biking: 1 point per 6000 meters

  • Wheelchair: 1 point per 1300 meters

  • Handcycle: 1 point per 4500 meters

The winning individuals and teams will be awarded based on the total point tallies.

The top five individuals and teams will receive winner medals.

All registrants will receive a participation medal.

Questions and Assistance

Can I join multiple teams?

Absolutely! Pay only once, then form or join as many teams as you like. Create a pair with Aunt Agnes from Annapolis, then one with cousin Connie from Cleveland, then one with your bestie, Bessie from Biloxi. To create a team, a team captain will submit the team name and roster on a form that will be shared after you register. All team members must be registered by March 12.

Can I alternate between rowing, running and biking?

Absolutely. The goal is to get people moving...in as many different ways as you like.

Can submit multiple entries for one day?

Absolutely. You could run two miles in the morning, walk a mile with the dog at lunch, and then erg 4,000 meters in the evening. You will just need to submit each activity individually.
