 | Published on 10/31/2010
DC Strokes Rowing Club on November 13 for our annual Banquet and Gala to celebrate the conclusion of our 20th season of rowing in the Nation's Capital and our strong tradition of inclusion, diversity and sportsmanship. In 1991, a small group of gay runners were looking for an opportunity to cross-train. With some old equipment and a lot of enthusiasm, DC Strokes grew into a competitive rowing club that bridges gaps between communities with an inclusive environment and a love for rowing. Today, DC Strokes stands strong with more than 200 members, 80 active rowers, more than 2,000 alumni and four programs for rowers of all skill levels.
