Come learn to row with DC Strokes! Our Learn-to-Row program is open to everyone and provides introductory exposure to sweep rowing in a non-pressure environment. The instructor-to-student ratio is no greater than 1 to 12 to ensure adequate participant interaction. Our experienced coaches will introduce you to the basics of the technique, equipment, language, and fun of rowing. The other objective to this class is to help you decide whether rowing is a sport you enjoy and can make the time commitment for, to be able to continue learning with our Novice program.

LTR Lead Coach: TBD
LTR Assistant Coach: TBD

The learn to row course has two parts and lasts 4 weeks:

Part I: June 18-28, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00-8:00pm.

Part II: After completing Part I you will transition to rowing with the Novice Program for 2 weeks, from July 2 to July 12. Classes are held Monday to Thursday, from 6:15-8:00pm. You are free to choose which nights you come, although a minimum of two nights per week is recommended. At this conclusion of the 2 week period, you will be able to officially join the Novice Program.

Full payment must be made by June 17, 2017 to guarantee your spot.  If you have not paid by this date, your registration may be cancelled.

Withdrawal/refund policy: Class space overall is limited and the class size is designed to optimize everyone's rowing opportunity; too few people is just as problematic as too many. With this in mind, we have established the following policy for people who find they need to drop out.  Students may cancel their participation in the class up to one week prior to the class start date and receive a refund of the course fee.  Within one week from the class start date, we will refund the fee only if we can replace you in the class.  Once the class begins, no refund is available.
