Sweep Program
Offers rowers with varying degrees of experience and abilities the opportunity to receive four days a week of professionally coached rowing, with several opportunities to compete in regattas.
Novice Sweep
The Novice Program focuses on building rower technique and fitness throughout the season. Novice team members are asked to attend as many practices as possible; two sessions a week is considered a minimum.
Requirements
The Novice Program is for new rowers to advance their skills, build fitness, and have opportunities to race. You must have completed the LTR Program with DC Strokes or another rowing club in order to take part in the Novice Program. Rowers with previous rowing experience but who have not rowed in several years also might consider the Novice Program.

Program Fees

The fee for the Novice Program is $450 (payment plan options available). Participants must also be current DC Strokes Members ($55), and have a current US Rowing Basic Membership ($25 for first time, $20 for renewal).
Club Sweep
The Club Sweep program offers rowers with varying degrees of experience and abilities the opportunity to receive four days a week of professionally coached rowing, with several opportunities to compete in regattas.
Requirements

To row with Club Sweep, an individual must have completed the DC Strokes Novice Program or have at least one year of rowing experience with another club.

The Club Sweep Program offers both a morning (with sufficient demand) and evening option:

Monday - Thursday: 5:15AM - 7:00AM

Monday - Thursday: 6:15PM - 8:00PM

Program Fee
​The fee for Club Sweep is $925 (payment plan options available). Participants must also be current DC Strokes Members ($55), and have a current US Rowing Basic Membership ($25 for first time, $20 for renewal) or Championship Membership ($75 for first time, $65 for renewal).
Registration Instructions:

Create an account on Boathouse Connect, our club management software.

After you have logged in and finished the account creation process, click on the Groups dropdown in the left-side navigation bar. Then click My Groups.

You will see a list of groups.

Click on the preferred 2026 Program. Then click Join Group.​

You're done! The payment method that you entered during account creation will be charged the registration fee. You don't need to do anything else.
